Thanks Mete for the clarification. I do understand it that way, but
others who are reading this might got confused. Anyway, I've sent a
PDF file to Thomas showing my font's features, so I think he
understand what I mean.

From what I understand when Tom mentions ligatures he is referring to its more general meaning in typography rather than this more narrow meaning of it as glyphs packaged within a computer font file.
