Salam,

first of all: writing in english is totally annoying! After getting used
to the sweet worl of writing in Arabic I really find it very awkward to
write in Arabeyes in english...

Well second and more important a chat transcript I did with the Abiword
hackers:

well, to compile abiword, you need 3 modules: abi, abidistfiles and wv
<uwog> enter the abi module, and compile as usual
<uwog> that will compile the other modules as well

<uwog> then you need to fix the shaper
the shaper is in (afaict): abi/src/af/gr/xp
Tomas Frydrich is the person working on it (he already did the win32
part)

The Abiword ppl ARE demonstrating that they are SERIOUS about fixing the
shaper problem as they posted with their 2.0.7 release (released today)
a call for Arabic users to test the shaper, so WE REALLY need to HELP
them.

I can't code :/ but if anyone is interested please let me know and I'll
directly tell the Abiword ppl.
