Re: Loading arabbix using loadlin

I didn't try with loadlin but may be you did a syntax error
try with "root=/dev/hda6" and not "root=/dev/hda6/"
         and "initrd=" and not "intrid="

I would suggest you boot with lilo :
I consider you have windows on partition /dev/hdax , arabbix on /dev/hda6 and both partitions are primary

edit the /etc/lilo.conf file
and add the following

other=/dev/hdax
label="windows"
table=/dev/hda

check that the following entry in /etc/lilo.conf is as follows

boot=/dev/hda

IF you can't access /etc/lilo.conf file
- redo the installation of arabbix08 and choose to install lilo on the MBR and not on /dev/hda6
- then boot on arabbix and edit lilo.conf as above
- then execute "lilo", you should see something like
"linux added *
 windows added
"
- reboot

if all goes fine you will have to choose between windows and arabbix on boot

no need to tell you that it is always safe to start with making a backup of your important data ;)
