Just for correction, both 1 2 and ١ ٢ are Arabic. 1 2 are western Arabic
(used in the Maghreb and Andalusia) while ١ ٢ are eastern Arabic (Used in
Mashreq). Both were based on Hindi numbers. Europeans got western Arabic from
the Maghreb.
