I tested it and I find that it isn't ready yet. The arabic caractères aren't
joigned and there is lot of RTL's problèmes.
Gaspar Sinai <gsinai at yudit dot org> the autor of yudit writes me about this, on
On Tue, 3 Jul 2001 he said to me :

Hi Mohamed,
I am planning to add cursive script support to yudit
that
will include
arabic support. Unfortunatelly I have very little time
these days and
I can not do much about it (I will have an operation
soon)
but I plan
to continue to work on Yudit. Maybe and of this year,
beginning of next
year I can release something. Till then I just try to
publish or apply
the patches I receive.

It is the stoolkit/STextData.* that holds all the info
about the text.
Probably this will be the one one will need to modify.
Similarily to
composing support joining support could be added. If
you
have some
programmer who is interested in contributing please
direct
him to this.

Cheers
gaspar
