Take a look at http://www.xhtml2pdf.com/doc/pisa-en.html
It uses reportlab under the hood for the conversion. If your HTML have
Arabic characters then you need the RTL reportlab branch.

Thanks for the quick reply, any idea which file(s) to download from http://www.reportlab.com/ftp/rtl/ and what todo with them exactly? the 00readme wasn't clear at all regarding how to match reportlap with the download files
