Salam 3alikom,
First of all, Jazakom allah khayran and thanks to everyone involved in
this project, for dedication, professionalism and a great final
product.
I'm interested in making libquran available under the windows platform
pure win32, no cygwin (i'm aware the C#/Java ports and Zekr) in order
to benefit from development/enhancements in the main project and to
have a common api on all platforms (and avoid porting).
the last cvs snapshot does not compile under mingw, i did some minor
modifications and it did compile fine and i tested it with a small
win32 app.
i would like to know if there is (some official) work being done in
this department so we could benefit from it, or should i go ahead and
submit my patch.
i'm also working on having it compile as a native dll, so its more
universally available (right now it requires mingw)
also on more issue is the ArabeyesQr font, please bare with me as i'm
a complete novice in this area, it renders fine under linux, but under
windows there are some issues, like a small 'box' with the small
'meem' and other small characters, and also 'hamza' and 'kaf' not
'linking' well?
are these fixed somewhere? or should i be doing someting do make it
available under windows?
i'm more than willing to help with this (i just don't have the
expertise) in any way i could.
and a final note, i noticed that the text data component is marked as
incomplete and unverified, so i contacted another volunteer and ISA
contribute in that area as well, if it still need revision (from a
quick glance, it looks great to me)
thanks again and Jazakom Allah 3ana khayran.
