Bicon installation

salam , 

i faced some difficulties installing bicon on my
system , probably its because im a newbie , but any
way heres some details:

system:

Mandrake 10.1 community  2.6.8.1-10mdksmp
fribidi 0.10.4 interface version 2 Unicode version
3.2.0 was already installed on the system


i tried to install bicon on my mandrake 10.1 , and on
checking for fribidi >= 0.10.4... i got "Package
fribidi was not found in the pkg-config search path."
and that i should make env variable PKG_CONFIG_PATH
point fribidi.pc location , but i found no fribidi.pc
file on my system and had to get one from nadim (thanx
nadim) , then i had to get the fribidi sorce code
although i had fribidi installed on the system , but
not the src , and had to edit fribidi.pc by hand to
get it working ... i dont think things should be that
complicated :) did  i miss configure anything that
could cause all that ? 

*please include that fribidi src is needed not fribidi
itself (correct me if im wrong).
