PuTTy: Patch works fine

salam all,
first of all I'd like to wish u a blessed Eid and many returns with blessings and peace to everyone everywhere.

i tested PuTTy (with the new changes to disable Windows from doing bidi and shaping) on arabic contents of UTF-8 files, the files had arabic text, one of the files was mixed with english .. and nothing but english letters were viewed .. the arabic letters were viewed as garbage.
so i guess we can go for the next step.. once the license issue is clear .
thanks for the help Behdad,

Yeah, you need to tell PuTTY to default to UTF-8 in its encoding.

That is done via its menu/Category (prior to making the actual connection),

Window->Translation->UTF-8 (selectable menu/scroll)

Hope that helps & Salam.
