I am no perl man.. (yet-another-reason-why-perl-ahh..-not-so-good ;) There seems to be an incompatibility issue with perl 5.8. It works fine on 5.6. I know someone has fixed this (name withheld to protect the innocent).. but he will be submitting his patch soon and I will incorporate it soon after.
