salam alaikum,
hope insha'Allah everyone is doing well.
i was interested in helping out with libquran, namely i was wondering,
in terms of searching... what is the plan...?
1. search per language? ie if you want to search arabic quran, you'd
type in arabic and search in arabic? and same w/every language,
or what's the plan?
2. phonetic search -- in this case, would we have to have a script go
through the xml files and phoneticize every ayat of the quran into
(perhaps another xml file?) so we can search that?
please let me know, i think i'd be interested in working on this.
also having a small problem was wondering if someone could help me with -
namely about compiling gnomequran -- for some reason i am having lots of
trouble doing this under slack 8.1 -- i had no problems w/qtquran and
libquran itself, but gnomequran is giving me lots of trouble compiling -
it complains (not with ./configure, but when i hit make and it reconfigures)
about ogg program compiling but not running (config.log says it core
dumped <the test program, that is>) -- when i disable the test, it won't
compile, giving me an error about ngajiquran.c's play_audio function,
open_audio, and some things under prepare_quran_widgets (ultimately
stops at a supposed parse error before a * on line 339).
i tried reinstalling all the libraries (removing the old ones, most of which
came with dropline gnome and compiling the exact versions on the webpage) -
but i get an error in the configure script when the test comes for ogg -
so after removing that, it still doesn't compile (some other error about
ngajiquran.c) -- anyone can help me out with this? <initially, the problem
was a lack of automake and aclocal-1.4, (slack comes with 1.5 by default
for 8.1), but that is a non-issue now b/c i installed those...>.
any help would be appreciated.. jazakumAllah khair.
