On a couple of spare minutes I tried installation of katoob-0.3.4.91-2.i386.rpm on my Redhat 8.0 machine: results: Perfect! It installed without a hitch, even though I used the binary rpm (I assumed I'll need to recompile) and I edited a file, testing both the original keyboard and the emulated in the process. As a bonus, I tried to rpmbuild --recompile the source rpm. After requiring a bunch of packages (pango-devel and the like, it failed in the configure step with: checking for gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.0... Package gtk+-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtk+-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'gtk+-2.0' found configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them. error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.74298 (%prep) Conclusion: the rpm works on redhat 8.0 (an additional bonus), but the source rpm doesn't compile. If you don't want to support redhat 8.0 please ignore (I am ignoring anything other than redhat 10 beta myself). But I thought this may mean a forgotten compilation dependency. Keep up the good work, and thanks for the packages.
