Hi all .. Attached is a patch for the Arabic keyboard that comes with LyX to make it compatable with the most popular and commonly used Arabic keyboard ( that is the Microsoft Arabic keyboard).. it adds complex letters ( LAM_ALEF, LAM_HAMZAONALEF, LAM_HAMZAUNDERALEF, LAM_MADDAONALEF) as they where missing from the LyX keyboard, and it fixed the misplace of few other letters and Arabic punctuation.. the patch changes lib/kbd/arabic.kmap The patch also make changes in src/encoding.C .. the changes are trivial, mostly to fix the values of some of the shapes (glyphs) of Arabic letters.. It it made across the latest CVS, can be run from lyx-devel root.. and I would be happy to see the next LyX release has a better Arabic keyboard, and better shapes ..
