:-) .. OK .. this means that you should forget about Ispell .. it is not GPL,
check the file 'Contibutors' in the main source of Ispell .. Richard Stallman
accepted that Ispell be in the GNU system, while it is not under GPL. It is
under the University of California license (also known as the Berkeley
license).

to see the list of NON-GPL software that is in the GNU System.

This brings up the issue Chahine and I open before, that Arabeyes is not GPL
limited, even Free Software Foundation is not.
