The website's code (PHP) is on CVS:
http://cvs.arabeyes.org/viewcvs/www/
You have to read first the CVS howto:
http://www.arabeyes.org/download/documents/howto/cvs-howto-en/
(wether or not you are already familiar with CVS, as it gives specific details
concerning how _Arabeyes_ CVS works). You don't need a CVS account to
checkout modules (section 2 of the howto shows how you can have access in
anonymous mode).
After checking out the module, simply point your browser to the local dir
where the PHP code is located and you have it live (you will need apache +
PHP + mysql running on the server). Of course your mysql tables will be
empty, but the table structures can be found in the arabeyes.sql file.
You can then actually start working on the code ;)
However, we are in the plan of localizing the website interface and I
_personally_ prefer to have it done first before trying to do anything with
the todolist. Because I think that we will need some serious backend work on
the code to make it maintainable (going object oriented would be a plus). As
you'll notice soon, the code is rather difficult to apprehend.
Anyway, what I suggest now is that you try to get familiar with the code, test
a few stuff while waiting for the localization to happen. As soon as it
happens, we sure we'll need some hard workers ;)
Of course, if in the meantime you have some serious and nice enhancement to
the website (with any of the todolist items), I suppose we'll have to take it
into consideration rather quickly ;-)
Salam and don't hesitate to ask !
