well the same reason as an email @kde.org or @debian.org. All active
developers who works for those projects have this kind of email, for
many reasons like to promote the project, to give a feel of belonging
to a cause, give credits to the organisation behind the translation
and encourage people to join.

The problem with google app is you must be registred at gmail, and I
don't know if the majority of arabeyes member are.
