Salaam dear Muhammad,
First, I am not cc'ing arabeyes since I decided to work outside them as much
as possible and don't want to break this rule.
Second, thanks for expressing the idea of not forcing a volunteer to learn
something if he don't want to. Still, I doubt they can understand it :( I
spent a lot of time trying to convince them I have translators who DON'T
won't to learn how to use CVS and DO want to translate but the whole thing
ended with me taking more PANADOL's ;)
I don't want to put my nose on the thread since you are a kinda man who knows
how to express yourself clearly. They speak sometimes as if we are going to
lose something if we left!
Third, and this is mainly why I am writing to you, Islamonline and other
Islamic sites or generally speaking most of people on earth still don't know
about Linux philosophy and why M$ is bad and doing harm to the world. You
need to explain this to them. You need to tell them they shouldn't only
support Explorer. You need to tell them about all the F's: Freedom, FireFox,
Free programs, .... Please, don't lose this oppertunity to spread the word.
We can't blame the ignorant. Even if their webmaster isn't convinced enought
today, we gain two things: He would think about it; and Readers, if
convinced, would be your second voice.
Two weeks ago I was interviewed at Orbit TV regarding Linux and Arabization.
Surely, I don't like Orbit and I never watch it but I am targetting the
audience. In short, if someone is doing bad, this doesn't mean we stop doing
good. I know you know all of this but this is just to say I love if you go to
the interview.
