As we get closer to an Akka 1.1 release, there is one outstanding issue to resolve before we are set (which I should take care of in the next few days). That is, the akka/src/perl/ directory never gets compiled and requires manual compilation to get the required perl modules ready. This is mainly what Haydar has been having a hard time with.
