Well I've never found/used a tutorial for all these things. But the
thing is that the official GNU emacs manual:

But if you want to discover all the  packages thatr don't come with
emacs, you can simply 
apt-cache search emacs , and then read...
And it helps to sometimes, do M-x <some letter> Tab, see what are the
commands available, and 
then try them!! :) Works also with bash...
