Re: TODO libquran

Hi,

I saw some functions in libquran that are documented. Are they documented according a known style like Doxygen or KDev. I know that Doxygen support many documenting styles, but I don't recognize the style used in libquran.
I also want to ask about one thing. I saw the code in libquran and I want to ask the permission to beautify it and document it better. So it will be easy to read for people who don't know the source code too.

Hi Brothers,

Finally I have vacation. I installed mandrake 9 and downloaded the Quran Project files. And after hours of trying I finally managed to compile and run libquran and QtQuran (Yes, It's not easy for a standard Windows/Visual C++ developer like me).

I studied libquran and I finally know now how it works. But I didn't understand exactly what was ment last time with warsh and qa'loon (or qanoon).
I want to work on libquran this week and next week. Can we discuss about it on irc this week? Make a time when you can and notify me about it.

I didn't do that yet, if you want to implement it.
Actually a weak one is impemented in QtQuran but I didn't transfer it to
libquran because of that, anyway look at searchform.* in QtQuran to get an
idea about what should we expect from a searching function.
Another thing that I would like to see implemented in libquran is supporting
multiple readings (Qira'at) in 'quran.ar.xml' it should be like this:
<aya id="1">
<searchtext></searchtext> ---->used for searching
<qurantext></qurantext> -----> used for (Hafs An Aasem)
<warsh></warsh> ------> used for (Warsh An Nafea)
<qanoon></qanoon> ------> used for (Qanoon An Nafea)
...................................
..................................
..............................etc
</aya>
so when I use quran_read_verse, I give it an additional argument to decide
which reading I want to take and then libquran searches for its tag and if
found return it, if not, this means that it's the same as (Hafs An Aasem), so
<qurantext> should be returned then.
I hope you get my ideas, so feel free to discuss them if you want.
