We need to make sure that some of the window managers support Bidi and
shaping (for window titles, pager text, etc) -- as such we need to approach
all (well, some) of the more popular window-managers with that in mind.

This of course would only be of concern for someone (like me) that is NOT into
running things under Gnome/KDE (session management software), since I'm
guessing that the QT/Pango would render the titles of windows as well (may
be not).
